Earth Atlantis iOS Review – Impactful and Fun

Earth Atlantis iOS Review – Impactful and Fun

Earth Atlantis for iOS by Pixel Perfex is a game takes us back to an era when things were much simpler, but with new game mechanics.

Apart from its cool artwork style, the game has quite an interesting backstory and meaning to it.

Quick Intro – Earth Atlantis

A nightmare-ish lull has fallen over the streets of New York. Its dead white eyes glaring through the wreckage of what was. In front of it, the statue of Liberty stares sullenly out, less than impressed with the watery with the watery conditions she finds herself in.

In the midst of all that is us!  Piloting the tiny sub, which is also humanity’s last defense against the horrors of the deep.

Earth Atlantis – Premise

Humanity is in a whole lot of trouble, and this basically is Earth Atlantis. A game set in the sunken cities of planet earth ravaged by global warming.

You control a submarine to battle against the giant fish that are now on top of the food chain.

The controls are simple, you move around with the left of the screen and tapping on the right flips your ship  180 degrees.

The firepower of Earth Atlantis

You fire automatically, which are just a sad steam of little bullets when you start, but as you move through the game will power up your weaponry.

Soon you will be blasting out rays of fearsome lead, from the front and back of your submarine. While streaks of electricity spark out in the direction of any fish unlucky enough to be in your way.

There are rockets too and new ships to unlock that fire in completely different ways.

Health boosters are also very important if you want to survive under the ocean.

Of course, there are huge bosses waiting for you down there. Within the first hour, you would have battled a mutated sperm whale and beaten senseless by a fat squid that hacks you with its tentacles from beneath the seafloor.

The Massive Crab-like creatures are the real aim of the game, and they are marked in your map letting you know how to get to them and take them down.

Some sections of the map will only unlock once you have taken out some of these creatures.

There are other influences as well, bullet hell to monster hunter. Earth Atlantis throws in plenty of ideas of its own.

The Artwork

Earth Atlantis is also a gorgeous piece of digital art. You could just spend time enjoying the view really.

And it all comes together to create an adventure that’s going to keep you hooked.

Final Thoughts

The future sea is a horrible place. But cutting through it with your craft, engaging in these deep sea battles, is a fantastic way to spend your time.

It feels great to control, and it is dripping with atmosphere, and this has all been executed with kind of a retro yet modern style that you don’t see very often.

We recommend that you take a look at Earth Atlantis for iOS as soon as possible.
