Enlight Pixaloop for iOS app review
Whatever element you want to animate in your photo, you can. Be it clothing, clouds, water, or even stands of hair. The animation speed can also be adjusted in the Pixaloop app, which is great.
So far we have had a lot of fun playing around with this application, turning ordinary pictures into absolute masterpieces. Pixaloop is definitely going to change our Instagram game, that’s for sure.
You can animate elements to move in two different directions in the same photo as well, for example, two-way escalators.
How do you use Pixaloop?
Well, it’s quite simple. All you have to do is just place an arrow in the direction you want the animation to move, on the element you want to animate.
You can place ‘anchors’ in Pixaloop to reduce the animation speed on the areas you want. You can also freeze motion in parts you want to keep natural or to hold specific elements.
If you want to do things like defy gravity and make the water in a waterfall flow upwards, you can do that as well. Which would make for a pretty cool photo.
Check for the video below by Enlight on how Pixaloop works.
The simple user friendly UI is very good and very easy to use. It is uncomplicated and uncluttered. The widgets are easy to move about and movement inside the app is straightforward.
The camera FX really makes you think creatively and includes some awesome inbuilt effects to create stunning photos.
The animation on things like floors, hallways etc. are very impressive.
For one, Pixaloop is not free. It is a subscription based app which is billed monthly or annually. Which is a bummer but, the app is great, so I suppose that is fair.
Compared to other apps by Enlight, Pixaloop seems a bit unfinished. Enlight sets a very high standard when it comes to their apps, and even though Pixaloop is great, we cannot place it up there with the rest.
However, in saying that, the Pixaloop app is still new so with upcoming updates, we are sure Enlight will make it more polished.
