Pac-Man featuring Sonic, yes you read it right. The creators behind the Pac-Man mobile games have decided to add the lovable speedster in their roster.
Sonic the Hedgehog is now in a limited time dash maze in the Pac-Man mobile game for iOS and Android. Sonic and Pac Man crossover is here.
So what is Sonic doing differently to Pac-Man inside the maze? Well for starters, the Fruits, Galaxians and the Keys have been replaced with friendly woodland creatures.
The power-up pellets have been replaced with invisibility power-ups, and the pellets themselves have been replaced with rings.
Is Sonic a good fit for the Pac World?
The question is, does sonic fit inside the mazes of Pac-Man? All Sonic wants to do is go as fast as he can, and being put inside a maze where he is being hunted down by robots, would only compel him to faster, I suppose.
What is instantly strange is that the creatures that Sonic normally would free in his world, are trying to eat him.
Is that a little disturbing? I’ll leave that up to you.
You can try out Sonic in Pac-Man’s world right now, as the update is currently available.
I am certain that every gamer on earth has played Pac-Man, but in case you haven’t and would like to give it a try, you are in luck; Pac-Man is now absolutely free.
There are sets of mazes to be unlocked though, and this can be done either by collecting tokens from within the game or through IAP’s.
You get awarded “Crowns” when you unlock new sets, and these can be used to unlock the tournament portion of the game.
The classic Pac-Man, however, has 256 levels which is free to play, and as of right now by paying $0.99 you can completely remove all the ads.
The “Sonic Dash Mazes” are now available on iOS and Android, free to unlock and play.
The Latest in the Sonic the Hedgehog series “Sonic Runner Adventures” by Gameloft was a hit, and you can read the review HERE.
